LELAND RED ANGUS: ADVANCED GENETICS, THRIVING CATTLE

Located near Sidney, MT, Leland Red Angus manages their registered cows much like a commercial herd, expecting them to thrive on the western edge of the Badlands. Their cows breed and calve unassisted on semi-arid range and travel across rough terrain on sound feet and legs while weaning a heavy calf in the fall.

Leland Red Angus endorses science-based technology using AI, DNA and ultrasound to identify superior cattle genetics. They measure data and EPDs while also selecting for economic traits beyond the numbers such as disposition, fertility, foot and udder structure and fleshing ability.

KOESTER RED ANGUS: SUPERIOR GENETICS, RELIABLE PERFORMANCE

Koester Red Angus operates their fall-calving herd near Steele, ND, and sells age-advantaged bulls. They breed cattle that offer value for their customers through phenotype and genomically enhanced EPDs. Their cows are tested for resilience and performance by raising their calves and breeding during the brutal winters of North Dakota.

Cattle at Koester Red Angus must also meet strict criteria for conformation, muscle, foot structure, disposition, performance and maternal strengths. By DNA profiling for over a decade, their cattle are backed by highly accurate EPDs that add reliability for their customers.
