DNA-Verified Parentage and Genomic-Enhanced EPD’s
All bulls selling in the 2026 HoosCow Angus Bull Sale have been DNA tested for parentage and carry an Angus GS genomic score. Each bull has a DNA profile on record with the American Angus Association, ensuring accuracy and long-term value for future progeny testing.
Genomic information has been fully incorporated into each bull’s EPDs, providing buyers with greater confidence in selection decisions and more predictable performance in their cow herds.
Fertility Screened For Breeding Soundness At HoosCow Angus
Every bull is fertility screened by Dr. Jenny Meyer and evaluated for overall breeding soundness prior to the sale. We stand firmly behind this process.
If a bull is later retested and found not satisfactory, HoosCow Angus will gladly return your money, provided the bull is returned to the ranch at the buyer’s expense. This policy reflects our commitment to selling bulls that are ready to go to work.
HoosCow Angus Bull Sale Guarantee, Buyer Protection, Delivery & Wintering Options
Bulls selling between $4,000 and $15,000 are guaranteed for 90 days following first turnout against injury.
If an issue arises:
- A credit of the purchase price less $3,000 will be applied toward another bull (if available), or
- A credit will be issued for next year’s sale
- The buyer retains the salvage value of the injured bull
- Buyers must contact HoosCow Angus immediately so an inspection can occur
For bulls selling over $15,000, HoosCow Angus strongly recommends insurance. The current insurance rate is 12.5% of the purchase price, with HoosCow Angus covering 7.5% and the buyer responsible for only 5%.
Even years down the road, if you are unhappy with your bull for any reason, we want to know.
HoosCow Angus offers buyer-friendly delivery options to fit a wide range of operations and calving schedules:
- Take your bull home sale day and receive $250 off the purchase price of each bull
- Free delivery on purchased bulls up to April 1
- Wintering available beyond April 1 at $3.00 per bull per day, beginning April 15
- Bulls must be picked up once wintering ends
These options allow buyers to manage logistics efficiently without sacrificing animal care.
