For example, a few years ago Clear Springs Cattle Company still felt the need to put out creep feeders a couple of weeks before weaning to help them transition onto feed, but this resulted in some toe ulcers in the bulls about a month later. Since quitting that practice, they are happy to say that it is no longer an issue. They strongly believe in seldom using the phrase “That’s how we have always done it”.
