Our philosophy at Carter Angus Farm has always been to keep the commercial producer in mind because if you are not profitable, we are not profitable. The cattle industry is in an exciting time, with feeder calves fetching record prices, and the salvage market is also seeing record prices. With that, we cannot fall asleep at the wheel. We cannot chase fads or extremes. Our cattle breeding approach focuses on producing well-rounded animals that excel across various traits. As you study our offering, you will notice that we don’t chase extreme numbers; however, we do keep them in mind. At Carter Angus Farm, we have aimed to breed cattle with moderate birthweights that then excel at weaning time.

Once again, this year we are offering our entire 2023 heifer calf crop. I believe that as you study them, you will find an exciting set and some future donors that can put any program on the map. This year’s heifer offering is the most powerful set from top to bottom, whether you are looking for Angus, Simmental, or SimAngus. They will have received all their shots and be ready to breed.
