Managed by the Davis family, Arda Farms and Freeway Angus bring over 60 years of expertise in seedstock production. Located just six kilometers west of Acme, Alberta, Canada, ARDA Farms encompasses an 800-head purebred and commercial cattle operation, complemented by a grain farm specializing in wheat, barley, and canola.

For generations, the Davis family has been staunch supporters of the Canadian cattle industry. ARDA Farms has exported purebred Angus cattle globally, reaching markets in Japan, Mexico, Russia, Scotland, and the United States.

The Davis family’s legacy in the Acme area traces back to 1903, when sharecropper James Davis relocated his family of 13 from Nebraska to central Alberta. In 1942, his son Art assumed leadership of the farm, establishing the ARDA Farms brand, derived from A.R. Davis Angus. Art collaborated with sons Jay and Darcy for a period, and today, Jay continues the ARDA Farms legacy, supported by sons Garrett and Jarrett overseeing daily ranch operations.

Today at Arda Farms and Freeway Angus, our objective is to offer genetics adaptable to various environments and operations. Our herd prioritizes maternal traits, emphasizing longevity, superior foot and udder quality, and structural soundness. We take immense pride in the maternal strength evident in our herd, visible through multiple generations of cow families with sons available for sale in our bull pedigrees.
