As a cherished customer of Gelbvieh-influenced calves, you have the opportunity to list your calves on the American Gelbvieh Association’s “Feeder Finder.” Simply provide a brief description of your cattle, and your listing will reach over 200 feedlots across the United States. All listings must be in load lots. If you lack enough calves to fill a semi-load, consider partnering with a neighbor who has Gelbvieh-influenced calves. This is just one more way the AGA adds value to your program. Smart Select Service

The American Gelbvieh Association continuously strives to enhance the breed across all industry sectors. Presently, the AGA offers the “Smart Select Service” to all producers utilizing Gelbvieh Genetics in their herds. Ranchers furnish details on their cows, including breeding and expected calving dates, along with weaning information about the calves. This service facilitates yearly cow record-keeping while contributing valuable data to the nationwide breed database. The cost is $1.00 per head.

CELEBRATING 41 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE IN BREEDING GELBVIEH GENETICS AT GUSTIN’S DIAMOND D GELBVIEH RANCH!

Welcome to Gustin’s Diamond D Gelbvieh Ranch located in south central North Dakota. Since 1982, we’ve been dedicated to breeding high-quality Gelbvieh Cattle. Our herd comprises 100% registered Gelbvieh, consisting mostly of purebreds, as well as both red and black Balancers. Continuously seeking new genetics, we invest in AI and acquire top-notch natural service bulls and females.

Our calving season spans from the end of February through April. To identify our top-producing females, we abstain from creep feeding in the summer. We initiate weaning in late September, and the calves receive a TMR ration, achieving gains of 3.3-3.5 pounds a day to ensure longevity. All bulls undergo DNA testing. Operating an extensive AI program, we breed nearly 200 females annually. Additionally, we showcase cattle at local bull showcases and participate in all-breeds cattle tours.
